Hi, I’m Kate Evans, the heart and soul of Evans Counseling, my therapy practice separate from Soulful Space, which is my coaching practice. This is where you want to be if you’re looking for good ol’ fashioned therapy or counseling.

In my twenty plus years of work as a therapist it has been my goal to provide a safe and encouraging space for women to process the experiences of their lives and create solutions where hopelessness may have once thrived.

Too often women spend their time focusing on the needs of everyone around them and their own needs get forgotten. This leads to overwhelm, anxiety, depression, and so many feelings that are hard to face on your own.

You do not have to feel alone on this journey. With validation and skills we can move you away from the things that have held you back and toward your goals.


about me

I hold a Bachelor’s of Fine Arts from the University of Michigan and a Master’s in Professional Counseling from Argosy University. I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC).

That’s the fancy stuff. Beyond that, I am a certified yoga instructor. I approach all things from a holistic perspective, meaning that I see everything a being connected. How you eat, how you sleep, what movement you get, your relationships, your job… You get the idea. It’s all connected.

I live in the Chicagoland area with my husband and two calico cats. As all of my sessions are via Zoom you are likely to meet Ruby, who sleeps in my lap, and possibly Soho who climbs on my desk.

I’m casual, I’m authentic, I’m me. I have learned over time that they best therapy I can provide you comes not only with all of my years of experience, but also with the spice that is the real me.

In our work I will hold the mirror to you. I will question you. I will push you. I will teach you and listen to you. I will offer only what you need and take nothing from you. This is your space. This is your healing.


Faq’s

Insurance: I am in network with BCBS PPO. For out of network insurances you can easily submit claims to your insurance company for reimbursement.

Payment: I accept VISA, MC, Discover, Venmo. Payment is taken at the time of service.

How much do sessions cost? If you are in network with BCBS cost will vary depending on your policy. For out of network or out of pocket payments the cost is $180 for the initial session and $140 for each subsequent session.

Do you do in person sessions? No. All sessions are provided virtually via Zoom.

How long are sessions? Each session including the first are 55 minutes long.

Do you prescribe medication? No, I do not prescribe medication.
